William Bell Scott learned the art of engraving from his father, Robert Scott (1777-1841). Throughout his life, William Bell Scott made engravings and etchings. Not only did he illustrate his books of poetry and art criticism, but he published portfolios of the engravings and etchings.
One of the finest sets of illustrations that Scott prepared was his series for the Fullarton Bible, published in 1876. These engravings are presented here.
We intend to add more of Scott’s illustrations to this website over time.
